WHAT IS INTENSIVE TRAUMA THERAPY?
Traditional trauma therapy typically takes several months, with weekly sessions over 4 months or more. For many people, that drawn-out timeline can feel discouraging as life keeps moving, symptoms persist between sessions, and progress can feel slow.
Intensive trauma therapy or massed model therapy takes a different approach. Instead of spacing treatment out, we meet almost daily over the course of about three weeks, working through 8 to 15 sessions in a concentrated, intensive format. This allows you to stay fully immersed in the work rather than losing momentum between appointments.
The treatment uses the same evidence-based protocol, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, that has decades of research behind it. What changes is the pace. Studies consistently show that this compressed format is just as effective as traditional weekly therapy, and many people experience significant relief from PTSD symptoms in a fraction of the time.
This approach is especially well-suited for people who want to make meaningful progress quickly. Whether you've been living with trauma for years and are ready to do the work now, or you've tried traditional therapy and felt like it wasn't moving fast enough, this could be the right treatment for you.
Because I also provide medication management, I can also adjust your treatment in real time throughout the intensive without the delays of coordinating with a separate prescriber.

FOR REFERRING PROVIDERS
I welcome referrals and believe the best outcomes happen when clinicians collaborate. If you have a patient who might benefit from psychiatric care that integrates therapy and medication, or who needs specialized trauma treatment, I’d love to connect!
When working with shared patients, I prioritize clear communication. I’m happy to coordinate on treatment plans, discuss medication considerations, and ensure your patient’s therapy and psychiatric care are aligned.
I'm particularly well-suited for patients who need a psychiatrist who will do thorough evaluations and follow-ups. I take the time to understand the full clinical picture.
To refer a patient or to introduce yourself, please reach out through my contact form or email me directly. I’m always happy to chat.
